The World Balloon is the largest passenger tethered balloon in the world. It is filled with helium and firmly anchored to the ground with a steel cable. As you ascend in the open-air gondola, you’ll be silently soaring into the Berlin sky. This is because helium is lighter than air, which gives the balloon its own buoyancy. During the descent, an electric motor with winch helps and gently pulls the balloon back down.
