Our helicopter has two cockpit seats – one right next to the pilot with a straight center view through the large panoramic cockpit and one right in front, with a view through the panoramic cockpit and out the side of the window. Round trip “Take off” to an unforgettable evening: After a nice reception at our counter in the terminal of the BER, you drive up directly to the helicopter in an original Crysler stretch limousine. The rotors start spinning, you put on your headphones and the new capital city airport suddenly looks very small from the air. You fly over the old town of Köpenick with its beautiful castle, past the Müggelberge, on which the Müggelturm is visible from afar. The large Müggelsee gives you that vacation feeling, and a little later the flight over the Tierpark Berlin is like an airy safari. Elephants in the middle of the city. In contrast, the Plattenbau landscapes of Berlin Marzahn/Hellersdorf open up before you. A little further on, horses race beneath you. You float over the 430-hectare Hoppegarten racecourse, described by many as the most beautiful racecourse in the world. Shortly after, you’ll cross green forest tops and finally – Lake Straus glistens below you. The skids of the helicopter gently touch down at Strausberg Airport. The shuttle service will be ready to take you to a beautiful lakeside restaurant, where you will be warmly greeted with a welcome drink. A gourmet menu by candlelight awaits you – perfect for leaving the daily grind and the big city behind. During the return flight in the evening sky you will see the enchanting skyline of Berlin bathed in red light and, if visibility is good, you can see as far as the TV tower.
